Boran Ece was born in the same decade as techno music. Boran's story, however, is not the commercially driven story of a young artist experimenting with musical instruments as a child. Nor is it the story of a young raver who spent his summer holidays in Ibiza to later make it onto the world's most famous stages. For the essence of his life story cannot only be linked to events - it is an emerging legacy of art history. His childhood bedroom was to become a stage, and in front of his imaginary audience, young Boran used every usable utensil in his parents' house to compose his music. While his friends built castles in the sandbox, he was his family's one-man show. His father recognised his son's tireless efforts early on and gave him a toy keyboard as the cornerstone of his musical education. Even then, it was clear that the art of music would become Boran's drive and destination. The young sound lover drew inspiration from his own imagination, which made him a unique artist with all its finesses, differences and contrasts.

After years of happiness and success but also of despair and habit, Boran found in techno the world in which he could give his artistic diversity the satisfying space: "to set masses in motion". A new chapter was to be written in his life, in the undergrounds of techno music. The love for the extraordinary bass world created new ideas and so the young DJ let the first sounds of a different kind resound. But Boran would not be Boran if he had been content with today's simple combinations of techno beats. His musical education at the Music Academy in Basel played into his hands and the idea of making history was born. It was probably at this moment that Boran dedicated his life, his heart, his devotion, to electronic music.

Thanks to Boran, the mix of acoustic music has never been so close to the electronic sound. Listening to Boran's sounds, it's like finding the flattering feel of classical music symphonies in techno beats. It is magic. And it is precisely this diversity that gives his sound an unmistakable character. His music is alive and independent of the grids of the known. It is new, fresh and leads the listener into a new dimension of the musical element. Sound pure tones that are more melodious, euphonic and creatively innovative. His melodies are ideological, born in the freedom, values and movement that the spirit of techno embodies. Acoustically tinged and, in the finale, a club-ready rise.

The spaces in which these magical compositions are born are not known worldwide for nothing. World stars like Tina Turner or Phil Collins have already recorded their masterpieces in the renowned Greenwood Studios in Switzerland. This atmosphere can still be felt in the studios today and reminds us of the hard work and determination with which the works were produced. Boran also leaves these traces behind when he chases his juicy basses through the analogue vintage compressors. Because his music is so much more than just a stringing together of sounds. Techno, Boran says, is the means for peace in the world, and with his intrinsic art he is part of promoting this culture of peace.

Several times he has been able to share his art and find inspiration in the sometimes hard and conservative underground world of techno in the corners of the big world metropolises like Amsterdam, Berlin, Istanbul and Miami. Because techno is just that: an unpolished rough diamond of music, in dark chambers that Boran has conquered for himself.  Even if today the electronic tinkerers are celebrated like pop stars, it is still the undergrounders, musicians and inventors of new sounds who find their passion in this art. Who push this music for the listener, the connoisseur, and create something new to make the techno heart of the fans beat faster. This is exactly what drives Boran: true to the motto "You can either swim, sink or be the captain", he sweeps the crowd along. And they follow his sounds.

Son D'Étroit is a label that has shaped and moulded the artistic world. Thanks to Boran's sensitive and formative style, the techno label manages to revive the basic culture, redefine it and make it palpable to the world in all its fullness. It remains true to its roots and, with its thirst for freedom, sprays its magic over every single track that is brought to the public by the label. Because that is what makes it so unique: letting the artist come first, letting him unfold, letting him conquer the world.

This is also how Boran's masterpiece "Armanotes" came into being, a piece of musical history for idealists, dreamers and indomitable lovers of the old, free world of art. Enthusiasm and passion can be found in the sounds of the songs just as much as the urge for pleasure, harmony, equality and unity. "Armanotes" is a spring in which a river flows from gentle tones to the demanding and formative basses, continues and develops, shapes itself, grows and in the end flows into the wide sea - ecstatically coming to its end. No, not an end. It finds its beginning. Newborn.

This is also what happens to the listener who stands longingly in front of the live act's console. For Boran has long since surpassed producing and dj-ing alone. It is these individual, lived performances, each one unique, each one felt, sensed and created solely for this moment and for this space. It is this artist's concept of taking his listeners on a journey that is so unimaginable, limitless and aspirational, a rave we all live for, and can only experience once in this form. Until the next time Boran Ece invites us on a journey - a journey into a carefree freedom, full of passion and throbbing beats - as unique as the artist himself is.  ¨
