Authentic and always true to his own inimitable style – that’s how IZIO has convinced fans with his legendary performances. His catchy artist alias “DJ IZIO” is a short and crisp derivative of his actual first name Fabrizio.
The DJ, who has Italian and Swiss nationality, was born on July 1, 1979, in Switzerland where he spent his childhood. At the tender age of thirteen, he made his first flying visits to the DJ scene, at that time mainly inspired by the Italian radio station DeeJay. Since then, his enthusiasm for he clubbing scene has gone from strength to strength. Right from the start, IZIO was not only interested in the happenings behind the mixing desk or on the dance floor, but also in the entire background including organization, event management and making-of.
When he first properly launched his career at the age of 16, IZIO began his career by playing at various parties. In the 1990s, he played mainly at Italo Dance before he discovered house music in the early 2000s. This was followed by funky house, deep house and techno. Today, IZIO mainly plays Tech House.
In April 2016, IZIO expanded his portfolio to include live streaming shows. After starting with a simple mobile phone camera, he now regularly offers live broadcasts. In his show, “LA CANTINA”, he always offers a warm welcome to interesting guest DJs.
